A cidade de Connecticut, nos Estados Unidos, recebeu no último sábado (24) um grandioso evento no Bellator 225. Das 14 lutas da edição, foram sete nocautes e outras sete finalizações, o que empolgou os diversos fãs de MMA que acompanharam o show. Entre os nocautes, destaques para os russos Sergei Kharitonov e Vitaly Minakov, que saíram vencedores nas lutas principais diante de Matt Mitrione e Tim Johnson, respectivamente. Marido de Paige VanZant, lutadora do UFC, Austin Vandeford também foi declarado vencedor por nocaute após seu adversário, Joseph Creer, não conseguir liberação médica para retornar ao terceiro round.
