AJP Tour abre período de inscrição para eventos locais e internacionais na temporada 2020/2021; veja os detalhes


As the world begins to reopen after the Covid-19 pandemic, the AJP Tour is preparing the start of its 2020/21 season. Following health and safety guidelines of local authorities, AJP is working towards holding local, national and international events.

The registration period is now open for various events and athletes can register to compete in any tournament they wish. The 2020/21 season will feature five Abu Dhabi Grand Slam events. For more information about ADGS, visit ajptour.com for details.

For the National Pro and International Pro series, there are several competitions already scheduled around the world. Below is a list of events until the end of October (dates and locations are subject to change):

– AJP Tour Moscow International Pro – August 23, 2020

– AJP Tour Cuiabá International Pro – August 30, 2020

– AJP Tour Brasília International Pro – September 13, 2020

– AJP Tour Lviv International Pro – October 10, 2020

– AJP Tour Germany National Pro – October 17, 2020

– AJP Tour Ireland National Pro – October 17, 2020

– AJP Tour Seoul International Pro – October 18, 2020

– AJP Tour Barueri International Pro – October 31, 2020

New rankings: learn how they will work

AJP froze the 2019/2020 season ranking due to the Covid-19 global pandemic and subsequent postponement of the Abu Dhabi World Pro 2020. AJP and UAEJJF are working with the target month of November as the new date for the ADWPJJC 2020 (click here)) the organisations flagship tournament.

Athletes will retain their current position in the 2019/2020 ranks until November. After Abu Dhabi World Pro, the ranking will be completed and the winners in each category announced. As previously disclosed, the recently added Abu Dhabi Grand Slam World Ranking 2020/21 will mark with the start of the new season. The current timeline is as follows (subject to change):

AJP Ranking 2020/2021 – from May 1, 2020 to November 30, 2021

ADGS World Tour 2020/2021 ranking – from September 2020 to April 2021

Awards to be given out to the best athletes in each weight category

AJP also announced that, in the 2020/21 season, athletes will compete for cash prizes within their own weight class. At the end of the season, the AJP will award cash prizes to athletes with the most points in each weight class, for each belt. Until the 2019/2020 season, the prize was for each belt, regardless of weight class.
