The BRAVE Combat Federation, the main MMA organisation in the Middle East, announced that it will resume its activities after it took a forced break due to the coronavirus pandemic. The promotion announced that it will hold two consecutive events, both in Bucharest, Romania.
BRAVE CF 35 will take place on July 20, at Beraria H Arena. A week later, BRAVE’s cage willreturn to the same location for BRAVE CF 36, set for July 27. These will be the promotions first events since BRAVE CF 34 which took place in Slovenia in January of this year.
As soon as the Covid-19 pandemic worsened around the planet, BRAVE CF was one of the first MMA promotions to pause all its activities and to engage in fighting the disease in its country of origin, Bahrain.
Romania is no stranger to BRAVE CF. In November last year, the promotion held a card at the capital Bucharest, in partnership with the local promotion RXF. The event was headlining with the lightweight fight between John Brewin and Maciek Gierszewski (won by the New Zealander (Brewin) by submission). Upon returning to an Eastern European country, the partnership with RXF will be repeated. The two events in Romania will take place without an audience present (with closed gates) and following the strictest international security parameters, stipulated by both the Romanian national authorities and health agencies.
Headliners or additional fights have not been released by the promotion, but announcements are expected to be made within the next few days. Other events scheduled for the remainder of 2020 were also not confirmed. Although BRAVE CF is expected to fulfil its original schedule of 12 events throughout this year but obviously with adjustments due to international circumstances.
