Rio de Janeiro will be the host city once again for the Brazilian Kickboxing Championship – Brazilian Kickboxing Confederation (CBKB). The last time Rio held this championship was 15 years ago. Sponsored by ENEL and by Rio de Janeiro government, via Sports, Leisure and Youth Secretary (SEELJE), the event will receive o evento abrirá as portas do estado para os melhores atletas do Brasil da modalidade.
The championship will happen on June 3rd – 6th, 2021. The event will also introduce several benefits that will allow some athletes to participate for the first time ever.
Among the innovations is a beautiful belt, an official t-shirt of the championship which will be given to first and second place of each division, including Under-17, selected fights will be broadcasted live on some channels and on the FKBERJ (Rio de Janeiro Kickboxing Federation) official channel and there will be a presentation of down syndrome and hearing impaired athletes.
There will be catering (lunch and dinner) for the athletes. This will allow athletes of social projects to be part of a national event for the first time. The 30th Brazilian Kickboxing Championship and the 24th Under 17 will be the door for athletes of any social class to major international events.
