With an eye on the title, Blaydes and Lewis face off

A clash between two of the top 5 heavyweights headlines Saturday’s UFC card. On one side of the octagon we have the number two in the rankings, Curtis Blaydes (14-2-0). The American comes with an impressive four-fight winning streak, which includes victories over names like former champion Junior Cigano and Alexander Volkov. With one more victory, Blaydes could finally dream of a chance to fight for the belt.

On the other side is Derrick Lewis (24-7-0), currently fourth in the rankings. Similarly to his opponent, one more could see his receive another title shot: in the first, he was submitted by Cormier.

Ketlen Vieira is the only fighter from Brazil on the card

Ketlen Vieira (11-1-0) will fight, against Russian Yana Kunitskaya (13-5-0, 1NC), in the co-main event. At 29 years old, Vieira hopes to start 2021 in the same way she ended 2020 – with a great performance. In her last fight, in September, she defeated Sijara Eubanks by unanimous decision. In addition, the Brazilian – who is currently sixth in the bantamweight division – has victories over the former challengers Cat Zingano and Sara McMann.
