Last Saturday (6), the UFC 259 promoted some big changes in the ranking. After winning Israel Adesanya, the light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz went up six positions and now is #8, while the Adesanya, current middleweight champion, fell from third to sixth place. Now Aljamain Sterling is part of the ranking too. The new bantamweight champ is on the 15th position, which used to be Conor McGregor’s. The Irish athlete is not part of the list anymore.
In the flyweight, Deiveson Figueiredo is the champion. After winning Joseph Benavidez at UFC 259, Askar Askarov jumped to second place. Alexandre Pantoja, after beating Manel Kape, climbed two positions and now is in third.
In the bantamweight, Aljamain Sterling is the new champ, while Petr Yan is now the next to the title, which raises chances of a rematch. Former under 61kg champion, Dominick Cruz jumped two positions and is the 9th place after beating Casey Kenney. In the lightweight (under 70kg), Islam Makhachev, who beat Drew Dober last Saturday, climbed three positions and is on 11th.

In the light heavyweight, after winning Thiago Marreta, Aleksandar Rakic is on the second place. In the heavyweight, after Junior Cigano and Alistair Overeem left the promotion, spots were open in the under 120kg ranking and Tom Aspinall and Alexey Oleynik are, now, on 13th and 15th, respectively. In the women’s strawweight, after beating Livinha Souza at UFC 259, Amanda Lemos reached the14th position.
