Scheduled as the main event at UFC 264, on July 10th in Las Vegas (USA), the trilogy between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier may not happen at all. Because Poirier has been saying McGregor didn’t make a donation to Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation charity.

All happened after their second fight in January. McGregor has promised to donate US$ 500,000. According to “The Diamond”, the double champ didn’t act as he promised and let respect aside and stated he is goingto knock Conor out in their third upcoming fight.

“That’s a fun prediction! You also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January. See you soon. July 10th Paid In Full! You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again,” Poirier posted on Twitter.

As soon as Dustin Poirier made public that promise of donation, Conor McGregor went nuts and said he doesn’t want the fight anymore.

“You’re ripped you inbred hillbilly. Why do you wink with your ears? You fucking brain dead hillbilly. 500k with no plan in place. Ye hang tight. Fool. You must be new to money. The fight is off btw. I’m going to fight someone else on the 10th. Good luck on your old contract kid,” Conor replied also on Twitter.

Right after, McGregor posted again to explain the reason why the donation hasn’t been made. The Irish athlete, during the weekend, showed irritation due to Dustin’s words.

“A donation, not a debt. We’ve been awaiting the plans for the money that never came. I do with all my donations. Know where it’s going dot for dot. Otherwise it goes walking. As is the case with a lot of these foundations, sadly. My team does their due diligence to make sure every donation meets the mark. My generosity is known. You will pay with your brain for this attempt at smearing my name. Good luck when you’re caught. You’re fucked,” McGregor posted.

The fight on July 10th at UFC 264 hasn’t been confirmed officially by the UFC yet. Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier have fought twice so far. In their first fight in 2014, Conor won by KO in R1 at UFC 178. The rematch was in January 2021 at UFC 257, and Poirier won by TKO in R2.
