After negotiations with BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships) in 2019, when the idea was to fight against Mike Tyson, Wanderlei Silva, once again, is close to signing with the promotion. Dave Feldman, the president of the promotion, said he has been thinking about the cards in 2021 and the new fighters he wants to present.
Feldman said before he was negotiating with Junior Cigano and Alistair Overeem, and now he mentioned advanced negotiations with Wanderlei Silva (44).
“Wanderlei Silva will fight (in the BKFC). He has been training hard and I intend to talk to him soon, and then we’re gonna give him a list with three different opponent names. It is going to be great, we will go public soon,” Feldman said to MMAFighting.com.
In MMA since 1996, Wanderlei Silva has 35 wins and 14 losses. The Brazilian has fought in the IVC, PRIDE and UFC, and is considered a legend in the sport. Silva also fought in Bellator, where he lost to Chael Sonnen and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson – this last one was in 2018.
