Último grande evento do Ultimate em 2019 e penúltima edição do ano, o UFC 245 foi marcado por nocautes. O card realizado na noite de sábado (14) foi agitado, em especial, nas lutas preliminares. Dos sete combates, cinco não foram parar nas mãos dos jurados. Já no duelos principais, apenas o campeão Kamaru Usman e Petr Yan conseguiram nocautear. O primeiro derrotou, já no quinto round, Colby Covington no main event, enquanto segundo superou o veterano Urijah Faber.
